Education City Stadium to host Eid al-Adha prayer on June 28
After hosting thousands of devotees for Eid al-Fitr prayers in April, the Education City Stadium will once again open its doors to believers later this month.
Qatar Foundation (QF) announced that Eid al-Adha prayers will be held at the Education City Stadium on June 28, the 10th day of Dhul Hijja this year, 'following the success of the Eid al-Fitr prayers' held at the same venue in April.
“We aim to create a fun atmosphere for everyone and welcome the largest number of worshipers and attendees,” said QF in the statement.
While the prayers will begin at 5.00 am, Eid festivities will continue until 9.00 am at the Education City Mosque.
There will be a number of activities which will involve the entire family, including face painting, games, food and drinks.
While people are encouraged to visit the Education City Stadium using the tram, those who come by car can park at the West Parking, Oxygen Park, and Al Shaqab Parking.
Last April, Education City Stadium hosted thousands of devotees during the Eid al-Fitr prayers, which was the first time the stadium was used for that purpose.
