Eid Al Adha in Qatar to start on July 9
According to estimations made by astronomers, the day of Arafat will be on Friday July 8, 2022, while the first day of Hijri month of Dhu al-Hijjah for 1443 AH will be on Thursday June 30, 2022.
Eid Al Adha will occur on July 9 according to these estimates, and the official decision on the start of Dhu al-Hijjah for this year will be made by the Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) in Qatar.
The crescent of Dhu al-Hijjah for 1443 AH will be born on the morning of Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 5:53 am Doha local time, according to Executive Director of Sheikh Abdullah Al Ansari Complex Eng. Faisal Al Ansari (2:53 am GMT).
He noted that the crescent of Dhul-Hijjah will set at 7:00 pm, Doha local time, while the sun will set at 6:29 pm on Wednesday.
