Eng. Jassim Mohamed Al Khori appointed CEO of Media City Qatar
Media City Qatar announced Eng. Jassim Mohamed Al Khori as its new chief executive officer in a post on its official Instagram account.
Al Khori later confirmed the news in his own post on LinkedIn.
“Thrilled to embark on a new chapter as the Chief Executive Officer at Media City Qatar. Excited to lead and innovate in shaping the future of media and content creation in this dynamic region. Here’s to new beginnings and bold visions!” he wrote on his profile.
Al Khori earlier held the position of Acting Chief Executive Officer, in addition to his responsibilities as Executive Director of Strategy and Corporate Performance.
He used his strategic planning, analytical proficiency, and risk management expertise to formulate corporate strategies that aimed to foster growth and ensure organizational stability.
He spearheaded strategic initiatives, orchestrating their implementation and execution to make Media City Qatar a collaborative home of talent and innovation and a regional leader in the media industry.
With a distinguished career spanning leadership roles at prominent entities such as Schlumberger, Shell Project & Technology USA, and Maersk Oil Research & Technology Center, Al Khori excelled in senior technical and executive capacities.
Notably, as the former Asset & Exploration Manager at North Oil Company, he successfully led diverse teams of senior scientists and subject matter experts to accomplish ambitious objectives.
His exceptional career trajectory garnered global recognition, underscored by prestigious accolades including the Qatari Ambassador Award from NOC (2019), the SPE International Award (2017), the Shell CEO Recognition Award (2009), and the Schlumberger Global Bronze Award (2008) for best technical publication.
He holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Qatar University.
The Media City Qatar was established to regulate and develop businesses and unlock investment opportunities to support the media ecosystem in Qatar.
