England to accept Qatar-administered COVID-19 vaccines; quarantine no longer required

The British Ambassador to Qatar Jon Wilks CMG announced on social media that starting October 4, 4 am, England will recognize vaccines administered in Qatar. As a result, most Qatari visitors to England will no longer be required to undergo quarantine.

Moreover, England's most recent amendment to international travel laws replaced the red, amber, and green country lists with a single list of countries, making it easier for travelers to determine their vaccination status.

This is only applicable ff you have been fully vaccinated for at least 14 days with a full course of Oxford/AstraZeneca, Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna, or Janssen vaccines from a relevant public health body in Australia, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Bahrain, Brunei, Canada, Dominica, Israel, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom, according to the UK Government travel guidance.

This means that travelers must plan and pay for a COVID-19 test on day two after arriving in England; fill out a passenger locator form any time within 48 hours of arrival; and undergo a COVID-19 test on or before day two after arriving.

The new guideline exempts them from completing a pre-departure test, a day 8 COVID-19 test, and 10 days of quarantine at home or in the place they are staying in England.

Furthermore, travelers must carry a document from the national public health body certifying their completely vaccinated status, which must include their forename, date of birth, vaccine brand and manufacturer, date of vaccination, and country or territory of vaccination.
