Exclusive interview with Zawaya Real Estate CEO Khouloud Dakhlaoui

With more than a decade of experience in the global market, Khouloud's focus at Zawaya lies in sales, business management, and real estate, allowing her to gain insight into market trends and prioritize customer service.

Q. What does Zawaya Real Estate do?
A. Zawaya is a real estate company, that we started in 2020. We work all over Qatar, and focus on renting and selling of residential and commercial properties. We focus to provide the best customer service for our clients. Honestly, we stress on the work details. We work according to hard work theory and strategy to deliver our identity as Zawaya to people and real estate developers.
Q. What are Zawaya’s goals for 2024?
A. We are trying, as I told you, to cover every area, every unit, every building and every kind of property in Qatar. We work hard to provide this. We connected with companies that search for corporate leases which is a big move we achieved and focused on in 2024. It allows us to contract with these companies to provide accommodation for their staff, and thankfully it’s been a success.
Q.What are the challenges you face as a woman leading a real estate company?
A. First, in the beginning it wasn’t easy for a woman to work in real estate, because the real estate market requires a lot of effort and time outside, and most of us, women, have our families and we have to give them more time. However, there is a lot of progress for woman in the real estate market, as women can go out and do the viewings, lead a whole team and work and contract with big companies. It’s really impressive that we now have successful women in the real estate sector and that thankfully, we have proved our success.
