Expo 2023 Doha to break World Record with largest Qatari Flag crafted from local flowers
Expo 2023 Doha is poised to achieve a remarkable feat by showcasing the world's largest Qatari flag composed of 300,000 local flowers, drawing crowds at Al Bidda Park. In the essence of celebrating National Day, the flag, a symbol of unity and pride, will soon secure a new world record as confirmed by expo officials.
An official statement from Expo 2023 Doha confirms that this floral depiction of the white and maroon flag embodies the unity and pride of Qataris in their nation. Commissioner-General Bader bin Omar al-Dafa expressed gratitude to ministers, dignitaries and diplomats from various nations for joining the Qatar National Day celebrations, highlighting the event's testament to Qatar's strong international relationships.
Haifa al-Otaibi, Director of Public Relations and Communications at Expo 2023 Doha, emphasized the integration of natural agricultural elements within the horticulture exhibition, stating that the strategically placed flower-drawn flag near the Expo house allows visitors, media, and international officials to appreciate this unique masterpiece,
“The Qatar National Day represents a cherished occasion on which all citizens and residents come together to participate in engaging activities that celebrate the significant progress the country has made and the astonishing achievements it has accomplished in the past few years. Expo 2023 Doha continues to offer unique and interactive experiences and activities to visitors of Al Bidda Park until 28 March 2024,” the statement concluded.
