Commissioner Generals from the participant nations in Expo 2023 Doha met Tuesday in Doha to finalize the preparations and planning for the upcoming international event and coordinate with each other.
The gathering highlighted the dedication of participants from all over the world to make the first A1 horticultural show hosted in the MENA region a success.
The meeting's discussions centered on creating a climate of cooperation and partnership in advance of the eagerly anticipated Expo 2023 Doha. Participants also discussed all organizational factors, such as sponsorship activation, volunteer efforts, zone operation and site service, and sustainability programs.
Expo 2023 Doha Commissioner General H E Bader Al Dafa spoke at the ceremony and emphasized the significance of the International Participants Meeting.
Speaking at the same event, Secretary general of Expo 2023 Doha, Mohamed Ali Al Khoury, said that the increased international participation is proof of the dedication of all participants from around the world to the success of the first horticultural exhibition, which is held in a desert climate in the GCC and North Africa.
According to Al Khoury, the expo's four core themes—modern agriculture, technology and innovation, environmental awareness, and sustainability—are explored through a variety of events and inventive marketing techniques.
Expo Doha 2023, which will take place in Al Bidda Park, spans 1.7 million square meters and faces the azure waters of the Arabian Gulf, will run for 179 days from October 2, 2023, to March 28, 2024, and it aims to draw more than 3 million visitors. Visitors will have the opportunity to visit ornamental gardens, attend public debates, conferences, and live shows, and enjoy art and culinary performances in the dedicated area. The entire event falls in alignment with the sustainability aspect of Qatar National Vision 2030.
