Four Qatari companies make it to list of Best Workplaces for Women 2023
Qatari companies have been doing a lot in recent years to make their workplaces more friendly, stress-free and productive. Much has also been done to promote gender parity in the workforce.
Great Place to Work — a leading research, training, and consultancy entity that collects information from more than 60 countries to select and honour companies with the best practices — recently brought out a list of 50 Best Workplaces for Women 2023.
Four Qatari companies found pride of place in the list. While McDonald’s by Al Mana Restaurants and Food Co WLL were ranked the highest at eighth place, Shift WLL came in 15th. UM Qatar finished in 25th place while Lesha Bank was 39th in the list.
“Congratulations to the Qatari companies that made it to the Best Workplaces for Women list. This recognition is a testament to the Qatari culture of recognising and valuing the contributions of female employees,” Jules Youssef, Great Place to Work Middle East’s Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain section’s Managing Director, was quoted as saying.
“It’s particularly commendable that this recognition is based on the opinions of women who work for these companies. To be considered a great workplace by those who know it best is truly an achievement,” he added.
Great Place to Work identified the top 50 businesses from all industries across the GCC region, who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to prioritising their employees.
