Hamad International Airport is World's Best Airport 2024

Hamad International Airport reaffirmed its global standing as the 'World's Best Airport' at the 2024 Skytrax World Airport Awards, held during the Passenger Terminal Expo 2024 in Frankfurt, Germany. The airport also grabbed the title of 'World's Best Airport Shopping' for the second consecutive year and 'Best Airport in the Middle East' for the tenth consecutive year. 

These accolades, bestowed based on meticulous assessments by air travellers, reflect Hamad International Airport's commitment to operational excellence and passenger satisfaction. Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr, Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, credited the airport's success to a decade of dedication, investment and innovative initiatives. 

With a focus on understanding passenger needs and evolving travel trends, the airport has introduced diverse experiences such as 'Souq Al Matar' and 'Orchard relaxation areas. This customer-centric approach has contributed to significant milestones in 2023, with a remarkable 31% increase in passenger traffic. 

Looking ahead to its milestone 10th year of operations, Hamad International Airport aims to enhance connectivity, support Qatar's global endeavours, and advance sustainability efforts in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
