H.E Prime Minister urges the resumption of Humanitarian pause in Gaza amidst aggression
During the 158th Preparatory Ministerial Council meeting of the 44th session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Doha, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani emphasized Qatar's commitment to collaborate with relevant nations to reinstate the humanitarian pause in the Gaza Strip.
The Prime Minister expressed concern over the recent Israeli aggression in Gaza, condemning the cruelties committed against Palestinians, including targeting civilians and essential infrastructure. He reiterated Qatar's condemnation of these crimes and called for an immediate international investigation to ensure accountability for the perpetrators.
Furthermore, he highlighted Qatar's mediation efforts, alongside Egypt and the United States, which successfully resulted in a humanitarian pause agreement in Gaza, facilitating the entry of humanitarian convoys and relief aid. The Prime Minister praised the diplomatic initiatives undertaken by foreign ministers from Arab and Islamic countries to address the situation at the Security Council, urging a halt to the war on Gaza and a return to credible negotiations based on the two-state solution for a resolution of the Palestinian issue.
