Health Minister inspects healthcare facilities at Education City Stadium

Her Excellency Qatar's Minister of Public Health, Dr Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, yesterday visited Education City Stadium to inspect healthcare services for the FIFA Arab Cup 2021.

As part of the visit, HE the Minister met with healthcare teams involved in the delivery of services within the stadium and was taken on a tour of the key facilities.

She also heard detailed explanations of all the services and support provided to the tournament.

Chair of the FIFA World Cup 2022 Healthcare Committee, Dr Ahmed Al Mohammed, said, “Our healthcare services for the tournament have been planned and delivered in accordance with FIFA standards and requirements. Within each of the six stadiums hosting FIFA Arab Cup2021 matches our healthcare teams operate spectators’ clinics, players’ clinics, and a major incident response room."

"To ensure the healthcare sector can effectively respond to potential medical emergencies 65 Hamad Medical Corporation ambulances are on standby, in addition to eight containers fully equipped to be utilized as field hospitals, while four mobile command units are deployed at stadiums on game days," he added.
