HH The Amir attends Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in Astana

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held an official session of talks today at the Akorda Presidential Palace in the capital Astana, discussing bilateral cooperation and regional developments. The Amir expressed gratitude for the warm reception and his optimism for strengthened ties. The talks, attended by Senior officials from both sides, coincided with the 24th meeting of the council heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit (SC0), where Kazakhastan's President emphasized the SCO's growing influence. The summit addressed political, economic, and security issues and granted full membership to Belarus.
