HH The Amir directs treatment of 1,500 wounded, sponsorship of 3,000 orphans from Gaza
Qatar has been doing a lot in recent times to help Palestinian people in Gaza, suffering a humanitarian crisis following incessant bombings by Israel.
On Sunday, HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued an instruction for the treatment of 1,500 wounded people and the sponsorship of 3,000 orphans from the Gaza Strip.
Qatar will undertake the transfer of the wounded and their companions, in coordination with Egypt, in preparation for treatment in designated hospitals.
The latest initiative comes as an extension of Qatar’s steadfast support to Palestine and its ongoing efforts to alleviate the suffering of the people in the Gaza Strip.
Since the start of the aggression, Qatar has flown 36 planes carrying 1,203 tonnes of aid, including food, medical, and shelter supplies, in addition to a field hospital and ambulances.
