
HH The Amir patronizes Qatar University graduation ceremony

It was a proud moment for hundreds of students from the 46th batch of Qatar University (QU) as HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani patronized their graduation ceremony at the Qatar University Sports and Events Complex on Monday morning.
During the ceremony, Sheikh Tamim honored 107 outstanding graduate students while QU President Dr Hassan bin Rashid Al Derham handed over certificates to 767 graduates in various disciplines.

“I congratulate the forty-sixth batch of female and male graduates of Qatar University, and I am confident that, thanks to their perseverance and the diversity of their specializations, they will be a qualitative addition in serving the country and society. I also wish our national university to continue the course of academic development and achieve its educational goals,” said Sheikh Tamim, in a tweet.
Speaker of the Shura Council HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, Their Excellencies Sheikhs, Ministers, members of the QU’s Board of Trustees, QU Vice-Presidents and parents of students attended the graduation ceremony of the Class of 2023.

A film about the students’ academic journey, in addition to QU’s achievements during the academic year 2022-23, its most prominent activities, programs, and research innovations in various fields were also displayed.
Al Derham, as well as student graduate representative Abdullah Abdulaziz Al Ansari gave speeches during the course of the ceremony.
“Qatar University registered six promising innovative companies this year to provide technological solutions that contribute to building a knowledge-based economy,” said Al Derham, during his speech.
