HH The Amir later tweeted his well wishes to the people of Qatar.

“Sincere congratulations on the blessed Eid Al Fitr. May God make it a happy and auspicious holiday and bring it back to you and to all our Arab and Islamic nations with glory, goodness, and prosperity,” he wrote on his official handle on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Earlier, Sheikh Dr. Thaqeel Sayer Al Shammari, a judge at the Court of Cassation and a member of the Supreme Judicial Council, had delivered the Eid sermon at Lusail.

He discussed the blessing of completing the fast and celebrating Eid, calling for adherance to Quran and Sunnah in order to thrive in life and the afterlife. He said one of the most important good deeds in life is to defend Islam and warned against anything that could undermine it.

He also called on devotees to remember what the people of Gaza are suffering from in terms of oppression and aggression, and to never forget the blood of martyrs, the tears of orphans, and the cries of mothers who lost their children.
