HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani was accorded a warm welcome at the Palam Air Base by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.

India's Minister of External Affairs HE Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Qatar's Ambassador to India HE Mohammed bin Hassan Al Jaber and India's Ambassador to Qatar HE Vipul, were also present at the airport. 

Sheikh Tamim, who is on a two-day state visit in India, was given a guard of honour.

“A special gesture for a special friend! PM Narendra Modi welcomed HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, at the airport, as he arrived in New Delhi on his second State visit to India. The visit will further strengthen the bonds of Qatar-India partnership,” wrote India’s Ministry of External Affairs on X.

Sheikh Tamim is accompanied by Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, and an official delegation.
