HH The Amir, UAE president discuss strengthening of ties, Palestinian situation
HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with UAE President HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Thursday during an official visit to the UAE.
The leaders discussed fraternal relations between the two brotherly nations and ways to support and consolidate them in different fields.
During discussions held at the Beach Palace in Abu Dhabi today, Sheikh Tamim and Sheikh Mohammed reviewed regional and international developments and exchanged views on a number of current issues of common interest.
The two leaders discussed recent developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, ways to enhance relief and humanitarian work, protect civilians and reduce escalation in order to achieve stability and security in the region.
The discussions were attended by Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, Head of Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and HE Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, Head of State Security Service and a number of other top officials accompanying the delegation.
From the UAE side, the officials who attended were UAE Vice President HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of Presidential Court HH Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler HH Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, among others.
HH the Amir also attended the state dinner hosted on his behalf. Earlier, Sheikh Tamim and his accompanying delegation were welcomed by the UAE President HH Sheikh Mohammed and other key officials.
