It had earlier been announced that Bangladesh’s capital city Dhaka would name a road and a park in honour of HH The Amir, when he visits the country on April 22 and 23.
HH The Amir is expected to inaugurate the park in Kalshi area of Mirpur, and a road running from Mirpur ECB Chattar to Kalshi Flyover on Tuesday.
The gesture is touted as a celebration of Qatar’s close friendship with Bangladesh and is made to mark Sheikh Tamim’s visit to the Bangladeshi capital.
During his tour of friendly Asian countries, Sheikh Tamim will hold discussions with leaders of the nations as well as senior officials on ways to enhance cooperation between them.
A number of issues of common interest are also expected to be discussed, and agreements and MoUs in different fields are expected to be signed. An official delegation will accompany HH The Amir.
