IHG reveals Al Maha Island: A new tourist destination in Lusail

Investment Holding Group today rolled out plans for its latest entertainment and leisure destination that will transform Qatar tourism. Al Maha island is located in Lusail near Place Vendome mall and linked to the mainland via a causeway. In conjunction with Qatar Tourism Authority, Elegancia, an IHG affiliate, and IMG are leading the world-class project.

This project is a one-of-a-kind attraction, according to Henrik Christiansen, Group Chief Executive Officer of IHG. It is intended to draw tourists from all over the world, but it will be especially popular with citizens and residents of the GCC countries in the region.

Lusail Winter Wonderland

Lusail Winter Wonderland, a 200,000-square-meter theme park run by IMG, a global leader in entertainment events, will be open from November to March each year. IMG is best known for producing and operating London's famed Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland.

Lusail Winter Wonderland, set to open November 1, 2022 brings the ultimate entertainment and lifestyle celebration to Doha this winter. Located in the heart of Qatar’s entertainment hub - Al Maha Island, Lusail Winter Wonderland will be jam-packed with festive fun, over 50 rides and attractions, delicious food and drinks, and live entertainment. Get ready to create memories and share joy with friends and family this winter!

Nammos Beach Club

Nammos, one of the world's most prestigious beach clubs and restaurants with irresistible sophisticated dishes and an electrifying ambiance, will be located on Al Maha Island. The stunning Mykonos beachside restaurant is frequently visited by global superstars such as Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner.

The magnificent Mediterranean event will be set on Al Maha's private beach and will feature luxurious modern décor inspired by the Greek party island. Nammos will be the new go-to spot for premium beach eating once it opens.

High-End District

Another attraction for travelers to Al Maha Island is its high-end neighborhood, which features six of the world's top restaurants.

London's award-winning ZUMA brings the flavors of the Far East to Qatar. ZUMA, the brainchild of German chef Rainer Becker, offers a refined food philosophy influenced by Izakaya, or informal Japanese dining. ZUMA was launched in some of the world's most beautiful destinations, including Ibiza, Phuket, Mykonos, Maldives, and Madrid, as a result of its success.

LPM restaurant and bar, a famous French restaurant with Mediterranean influences, is launching on Al Maha and will take its guests on a culinary journey to the south of France and the Mediterranean Sea's coastlines.

Em Sherif, the magnificent Levant restaurant intended to resemble an Oriental Mansion and serving fine dining Lebanese authentic cuisine, will round out the offering. The Lebanese-awarded restaurant has locations in Lebanon, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and London.

Billionaire is a well-known bar and nightclub that combines luxury dining with nightlife, including a special show with amazing entertainment that perfectly blends extraordinary performances, excellent food, and exceptional service. Billionaire is also a popular vacation spot for many celebrities and superstars.

Dokya is a Turkish tavern that serves a wide range of Turkish cuisine and mezze. The restaurant is also notable for its premium design, which blends traditional oriental with contemporary western elements.

Finally, there's Jwala, which promises a delectable journey through Indian flavors.

International Music Festival

Another popular attraction on Al Maha Island is the concert venue, a 7,000-seat stadium that will hold the Global Music Festival and 34 live events each year, attracting huge names such as international and regional superstars, world-renowned DJs, singers, and comedians. The music festival's schedule will be released in August 2022.
