June 16 to mark the first day of Eid Al Adha Al Mubarak

The new crescent of Dhul Hijjah was sighted in Saudi Arabia on Thursday night, signalling the start of the last month of the Islamic Hijri calendar on Friday.

Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court made the formal announcement on Thursday evening.

While the day of Arafat will be on Saturday, June 15, the first day of Eid Al Adha will be marked on Sunday, June 16.
