Katara Cultural Village was a major attraction for crowds to enjoy the Eid al-Fitr festivities with their plethora of events, activities, and entertainment. For the first three days of Eid al-Fitr from April 21 to 23, crowds were in for a treat with captivating celebrations at Katara.

The annual Eid fireworks show mesmerized the visitors with a grand display on day one and two.

The Police Training Institute’s musical band gave an enthralling performance for the first two days and will continue to do so today, April 23 at 6.15 pm and 7.50 pm.

The first two days also saw many visitors interested in the Oud music recitals at the Katara Oud Center at Building 6. Some renowned oud musicians played and performed to the appreciative audience.

Roaming cartoon characters and mascots also delighted visitors, especially children as they eagerly clicked pictures with them and interact with them.

With the great weather during this Eid weekend, many visitors also enjoyed a good day at Katara Beach with its various activities and fun.

The play ‘World 2030’ that depicted the Qatar National Vision 2030 was also lauded by the audience.

Apart from performances by musical bands and other festivities, kids also enjoyed the Eid quizzes event where they won cash prizes upon winning and participating.

The most exciting event apart from the festivities was the two rounds of Eidiya distribution for children held from 6.30 pm to 8.10 pm for the first two days. Kids were given gifts as Eidiya by Katara Cultural Village and the event will continue onto the third day of Eid al-Fitr too.
