Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, along with Minister of Municipality HE Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, toured the Big 5 Construct Qatar and INDEX Design Qatar exhibitions at the Doha Exhibition & Convention Center on Monday.

Tickets: Admission is free for trade and industry professionals. Visitors under the age of 18 will not be permitted.

The event, which highlights innovation in Qatar’s construction and design sectors, features exhibitors from around the world.

The companies presented their latest products and technologies, drawing crowds eager to witness firsthand the advancements supporting Qatar’s rapidly growing construction and design sectors. Live demonstrations and interactive displays provided attendees with hands-on experiences and valuable insights.

Some of the companies in the spotlight during the events were HBK Contracting Company, Hamad & Mohamed Al Futtaim, Al Rugaib Furniture, Good Wood and Al Tamyeez Security Systems.

CPD-certified Big 5 Talks remained a central highlight of the events, offering in-depth discussions on key industry issues. Sessions explored themes like lean management principles, sustainable construction practices, and digital transformation in the built environment.

Noteworthy presentations included Dawlat Elmossalamy’s ‘The lean approach,’ and Dr Dila Ersenkal’s ‘Shaping the future of sustainable assets.’ Additionally, the Qatar Hub Committee of The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) hosted a panel discussion on ‘Enabling digital transformation in Qatar’s construction sector.’

The final day of Big 5 Construct Qatar and INDEX Design Qatar 2024, co-located with Cityscape Qatar, promises to be a hub of industry collaboration, featuring over 250 brands from 25 countries.

The event’s lineup includes a series of inspiring INDEX Design Talks, headlined by HE Sheikha Reem Al Thani’s keynote presentation on the role of cultural institutions in nation-building.

The event will also host engaging panel discussions exploring sustainable design trends in Qatar and luxury interior innovations for high-end spaces.
