Lusail Boulevard becomes a hub for Ramadan celebrations this year
Lusail Boulevard is hosting a range of traditional activities and festivities throughout Ramadan this year. One of the highlights of this year’s celebrations is the vibrant car parade, creating a vibrant ambiance for visitors.
Ramadan tents will also be set up, providing a cozy space for prayers and gatherings. An iconic tradition, the firing of the Iftar cannon, will take place every day during the sunset call to prayer at Lusail Boulevard, free of charge, until April 9.
People can view and purchase authentic products and handicrafts from Ramadan markets, while food and beverages and family activities will also abound.
In addition to Lusail Boulevard’s exciting festivities, commuters can enjoy convenient transportation options during Ramadan. The Doha Metro and Lusail Tram recently introduced a new Ramadan weekly pass, offering unlimited rides for just QAR30 until April 11.
They have also extended their service hours — 6am to 1am from Saturdays to Thursdays and 2pm until 1am on Fridays — providing ample opportunities for residents and visitors to explore various Ramadan events around the city.
The pass can be purchased from Travel Card vending machines at all stations from March 11 to April 11, 2024.
With Lusail Boulevard emerging as a focal point for festivities and due to the availability of convenient transportation options, Qatar residents can look forward to a memorable and convenient Ramadan experience this year.
