Lusail Boulevard to remain closed to traffic from Wednesday until Saturday
Lusail Boulevard’s main road, which hosted some major events for the public during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, will be closed for traffic from October 11, Wednesday, until October 14, Saturday.
The closure is in preparation for events as part of the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS), said Lusail City on its official Instagram page.
Lusail City also shared a map highlighting the roads that will be closed and those that will be open to traffic.
From October 12 to 14, between 5pm and 10pm, the iconic Lusail Boulevard is expected to turn into an urban playground as part of the GIMS Qatar 2023.
Activities will include the ‘Parade of Excellence,’ which will allow spectators to see up to 100 unique cars cruise on the Boulevard. The event is scheduled to run on October 12, between 7pm and 9pm.
“Parade of Excellence, spectacular action, entertainment, live performances all around, and a buzzing village area; there will be something for everyone at the Urban Hub. Let the party begin!” wrote GIMS on its website.
