Lusail drive-through center offers free PCR testing for particular age groups

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has confirmed that the PCR testing at the drive-through center in Lusail is now free for particular population groups.

The test is free for people 50 years and above with Covid-19 symptoms and who have been in contact with positive or preoperative patients.

However, those individuals that require pre-travel PCRs must provide proof of travel and pay a fee of QAR160 by credit card (no cash payments).

The result of the PCR test will take between 24 to 48 hours. The result link will be shared by SMS, allowing individuals to print the certificate through the patient portal.

The drive-through center will not conduct post-travel Covid-19 tests. These are only done using rapid antigen tests.

Individuals that use the PCR test at Lusail must show their health card and green status of Ehteraz.

Those individuals with a positive RAT result will not be allowed for the PCR test as it is not necessary.

The maximum number of passengers in a vehicle is restricted to four and no buses are allowed. Also, the Lusail drive-through will not show results for those who have been tested elsewhere.

The Lusail drive-through is open every day from 8 a.m to 10 p.m.
