Lusail Sky Festival to thrill spectators until Saturday

Thousands of people packed the Al Sadd Plaza on Thursday night for the opening spectacle of the Lusail Sky Festival, which was a fusion of technology, art, and aviation.
The mega show — which included aerial acrobatic performances, breathtaking fireworks, spectacular drone shows, airborne pyrotechnics, and cutting-edge laser shows — was a treat for spectators. The Visit Qatar event, which will run until Saturday, has set the bar high for the country’s entertainment landscape.
The festival, held in Lusail City, started off with a thrilling show by the Lekhwiya Parachute Jumpers. It was followed by the gravity-defying Scandinavian Airshow Wingwalk, aerobatic performances by Arthur Kielak and the Phoenix Paramotor Display Team.
While the Bushcat Demo Team left the audience in awe, the Airborne Pyrotechnics and Skytexter Formation were also impressive. The grand finale had a synchronized performance of drones, laser projections, and fireworks.
The Poseidon Waterscreen and Scandinavian Ragnarok segment blended state-of-the-art projection technology with dynamic aerial stunts, creating an immersive experience.
“This is the first time we’re hosting such a large multimodal display in Qatar, combining aerobatics from airplanes, airborne fireworks, ground fireworks, a laser show, and 3,000 drones flying simultaneously,” Hassan Al Mousawi, CEO of Safe Flight Solutions and organizer of the Lusail Sky Festival, was quoted as saying by local media.
The Lusail Sky Festival is sure to add to Qatar’s credentials as a premier global destination for entertainment and tourism.
