Marc Marquez clinches Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar title

Spain’s Marc Marquez pulled off a masterclass at the Lusail International Circuit on Sunday to clinch the Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar title, his third race win of the 2025 season. He finished the race in 41 mins, 29.186sec.
The Ducati rider controlled things from the front in the latter part of the race, pushing Red Bull KTM’s Maverick Vinales (+1.800sec) and Ducati’s Francesco Bagnaia (+4.535sec) to second and third places respectively.
Vinales led in the middle of the race, but could not keep the lead. However, it was his best result with the Red Bull KTM Tech3 squad.
Bagnaia had been the title favourite heading into the race weekend, but the Italian had a horrible Saturday before roaring back to a podium finish on Sunday.
Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team’s Italian rider Franco Morbidelli led in the early stages of the race, but fell down the order as his tyres began to wear. He ended up crossing the line in fourth place.
Johann Zarco claimed his first top-five finish in a Grand Prix this season. The French rider was challenging Morbidelli in the latter laps, but finished in fifth place on his LCR Honda.
The BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP Team finished in sixth and seventh positions. Fermin Aldeguer beat his teammate and finished sixth, and Alex Marquez’s run of second places came to an end as he finished seventh.
The top Yamaha rider was Fabio Quartararo, who started from the front row of the grid. However, he did not have the pace to match the riders ahead of him, and he dropped back to eighth.
The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team managed to get a rider into the top ten as Pedro Acosta finished the Qatar Grand Prix in ninth.
The best Aprilia rounded out the top ten as Marco Bezzecchi crossed the line in 10th, 14.368 seconds behind Marc Marquez.
