Meteorological warning for thunderstorms & winds
Today, November 16, several regions across the country experienced rainfall, including Doha, accompanied by thunderstorms. The Qatar Meteorology Department issued a warning regarding the likelihood of sudden strong winds and heavy thunder. Footage shared by many of our followers depicted rainfall in various parts of the nation.
This weather pattern is anticipated to persist until tomorrow, November 17, as indicated in the recent forecast by the meteorological department. The country is expected to be impacted by a cold front, resulting in partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with a possibility of moderate to heavy rain.
In addition, the warning is also issued for motorists, who need to exercise caution and follow safety protocols on the road such as driving at slow speeds, use headlights, maintain safe distancing, avoid distractions while driving and steering clear from submerged roads.
