MoCI announces regulations for auto repair workshops
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has announced regulations that need to be adhered to by auto repair workshops in cities and commercial streets.
The initiative falls within the framework of the efforts of MoCI in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment and the Ministry of Interior and in accordance with the laws, controls, and requirements in force in the country.
The announcement was made by MoCI through its Twitter account and highlights that conducting the business and its activities outside the site of the license granted is prohibited.
This would include public parking lots, sidewalks, adjacent squares, and even between residential neighborhoods.

In the event that the area of the commercial store does not accommodate the entry of at least one car, its location should be modified and the license site should be moved to the designated sites through which these activities can be practiced.
It is forbidden to place and park a customer’s cars in public parking, on sidewalks, or between residential neighborhoods, and to commit to handing over cars to customers upon completion of their repair.
The regulations announced would affect the following activities.
1. Auto electrical repair
2. Auto oil change
3. Repair and change and sale of tires
4. Auto engine repair
5. Radiator repair
6. Auto brakes repair
7. Auto glass repair
8. Auto electronics repair
9. Auto balancing
10. Auto Computer Programming
11. Auto Air Conditioning Repair
12. Auto Accessories Installation
13. Car Seats Upholstery
14. Sell Car Accessories
