In addition to this, MoPH also recommends visitors have a complete medical check-up six weeks before entering Qatar. “This will help identify any underlying health issues and provide peace of mind for visitors. This should also include a dental check-up,” the Ministry has said.
Emphasizing their role to ensure the best possible outcomes, the Ministry added: “Make sure you know your blood group and write it down on a document and keep it safe with other health documents.”
Visitors are requested to bring their adequate supplies of medications, especially those with subscriptions. The ‘Fan Health Information’ page includes all these requirements, in addition to information about health care services in Qatar, pre-travel advice, COVID-19 information & travel policy, mental health helpline, and a safe and healthy tournament.
Hamad Medical Corporation is set to provide Urgent Consultation services through telephone as well as to give support for urgent, non-life-threatening cases that can be accessed by dialing 16000 from 7 am to 3 pm every day.
In addition, fans can also access the National Mental Health Helpline which will help everyone manage any anxiety, stress, and emotional distress. A team of highly trained professional mental health consultants will be available for support during this time.
