MoPH temporarily shuts down health facility for illegal hiring
Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), represented by the Department of Healthcare Professions, announced the temporary administrative closure of a health facility in the country.
The MoPH also initiated legal actions against the facility for violations related to hiring four health practitioners before completing the procedures for obtaining their professional licences and allowing them to practise health professions in Qatar.
The ministry stressed that health facilities in Qatar must adhere to health laws and avoid hiring health practitioners before completing their necessary professional licences.
Health practitioners also must adhere to the laws related to the fields of their specialization, and the ethics of the professions they practise.
The ministry stated that inspection and monitoring visits carried out by the ministry aim to ensure compliance with laws, improving the quality of health care, and ensuring patient safety.
The public can check the types of professional licences granted to health practitioners via this link.
They can also report any illegal practices related to health practitioners to the Ministry of Public Health by sending an e-mail here.
