The awards ceremony, held in Dubai, celebrates the leading innovators in the Middle East, spotlighting the impactful contributions of Msheireb Properties to their flagship rejuvenation project, Msheireb Downtown Doha.

Msheireb Downtown Doha stands as the world's first certified sustainable city district, with all buildings achieving Gold or Platinum LEED certification, adhering to the highest green building standards. The integration of over 6,400 rooftop solar panels for onsite energy generation, along with 1,400 solar panels for hot water, contributes to approximately 25% of power for many buildings. The city also implements systems for rainwater and air conditioning condensation recovery, repurposing the collected water for irrigation and various building functions.
The city embraces cutting-edge smart services and applications, incorporating fiber optic cables, device connectivity, smart meters, and monitoring systems for a fully digital experience. Al Kuwari emphasized the city's design philosophy, stating, "Msheireb Downtown Doha is designed to counter high-rise trends and prioritize resident well-being through thoughtful design. Our entire development, and everything we undertake at Msheireb Properties, aims to minimize resource consumption, waste generation, and costs to achieve a reduced carbon footprint.
