New cruise season to witness 58 cruises at Doha Port
Mwani Qatar announced via Twitter on December 26 that a total of 58 cruises are now scheduled to call on Doha Port for the new 2022-2023 cruise season. The announcement noted that 6 cruise liners are expected to make their maiden voyage to Qatar in a season lasting till April 2023.

The cruise season kicked-off yesterday, December 25, 2022, with the docking of the cruise ship Le Bougainvilie managed by the French company Ponant Cruises. According to Mwani Qatar, Le Bougainvilie, a 131-meter long and 18-meter wide ship can accommodate up to 294 people including crew members.
The cruise season in Qatar was pushed from its usual start in November, due to the hosting of the World Cup. During the World Cup, three cruise ships from the MSC Cruises Group including the MSC World Europa, MSC Poesia, and MSC Opera were docked at Doha Port and served as floating hotels.
