One has heard of rescue officials sweeping in to save the day when people got trapped at sea.
The Al Ghariya seaside witnessed a different kind of rescue operation the other day when a specialist team from the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change recovered a cabin from the sea.
The cabin was swept out to sea during high waves that the country was exposed to recently.
Marine Protection Department’s Assistant Director Abdullah Al Khulaifi said the process of towing the cabin was carried out safely, without any damage to the marine habitats and coral reefs in the Al Ghariya area.
Other cabins that were washed away by water were recovered on the beaches of Uraydah, Al Ghariya and Al Maruna.
