The Old Doha Port, which houses the Mina District, Box Park, and the Cruise Terminal, will hold several events and activities for visitors during the Holy month of Ramadan.

“Enjoy the special Ramadan activations at Old Doha Port during March,” said Old Doha Port on its social media platforms.

Here is a look at what is in store for visitors to the area during the Holy month.

Musaher Al Mina, held every day

The Musaheratis, also known as ‘Ramadan Drummers,’ will roam the Port calling out Ramadan chants. Musaher replicates the role of people who wake up the neighbourhood before dawn to have food prior to starting the day’s fast.

Souq Al Mina pop-up market, held every day

Visitors to the area can explore a rich variety of retail shops at the Ramadan pop-up market in Mina District, offering a range of items including food, clothing, home decors, accessories, and more.

Garangao Night on 14th evening of Ramadan, 6pm to 11pm

The evening is normally packed with fun heritage activities aimed at children. They can also expect to receive bags of goodies including candies, nuts and chocolates.

Wada’a Ramadan on last four days of Ramadan, 6pm to 10pm

There will be more activities for everyone as people bid farewell to the month-long fasting and observance of Ramadan. This event will include special gatherings, prayers, and cultural activities to mark Ramadan’s conclusion.
