Ooredoo, Qatar’s leading telecommunications operator and ICT provider, welcomed its brand Ambassador and national champion — Olympic gold medallist and triple World Champion Mutaz Essa Barshim — to its headquarters.

The celebration was organised to honour Barshim’s remarkable achievement of winning a bronze in men’s high jump at the 2024 Paris  Olympic Games, marking his fourth consecutive Olympic medal and further solidifying his legacy as a world-class athlete.

Ooredoo Qatar’s CEO Sheikh Ali bin Jabor Al Thani, who personally welcomed Barshim, congratulated him on his remarkable achievements, especially his win in Paris. Sheikh Ali also praised Barshim for his dedication to raising Qatar’s flag on the global stage and acting as an inspiration for future generations.

During his visit, Barshim reflected on the support he received from Ooredoo and expressed his gratitude, stating, “I would like to thank Ooredoo Qatar for their continuous support and dedication throughout my sports journey. As a company that champions innovation and nurtures local talent, it comes as no surprise they continue to stand by me.”

Barshim also took photos with the employees who gathered to celebrate his success, further highlighting the sense of pride and inspiration he brings to the Ooredoo community.
