Open-air movie screenings return to MIA Park this weekend

The Doha Film Institute is bringing back its popular ‘Cinema Under the Stars’ screenings, just in time as the weather makes a change for the better. This weekend, families and film enthusiasts will be able to watch three movies in the open air.
The screenings
* Happy Feet, a 2006 movie directed by George Miller, will be screened on October 3, Thursday, at 7pm
* Rio, a 2011 film by Carlos Saldanha, will be on show on October 4, Friday, at 7pm
* Lily Topples the World, a 2021 movie directed by Jeremy Workman, will be playing on October 5, Saturday, at 7pm
While all screenings are free, the event will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Cinema enthusiasts will get to enjoy their movies under Doha’s starry night sky.
The MIA Park will provide a stunning backdrop for the outdoor film experiences, combining culture, entertainment, and the beauty of Doha’s skyline.
