It’s that time of the year again when the world’s best jewellers and watchmakers head to Qatar to showcase their collections and find new customers from among the country’s elite.

The 19th edition of the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE), set to open at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) on Monday, will bring together more than 500 leading brands from all around the world.

The exhibition, spread over 33,000 Square Metres, will run until February 25 and is expected to attract over 30,000 visitors.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 3pm on Monday. Arab music sensation Nancy Ajram will visit Tiffany’s booth at 5.30pm.

“We’re pleased to bring together local talents, international designers, exhibitors, respected global brands and jewellery aficionados who’ll have the chance to meet again under one roof to nurture creativity, network, discover and grow,” Qatar Tourism (QT) said in a statement.

The Qatari Designers’ initiative will aim to promote Qatari creative talents and hence highlight local brands. Clair De Lune, De Trove, Ghand Jewellery, H Jewellery, Hessa Jewels, Leila Issam Fine Jewellery, Midad Jewellery, Nouf Jewellery, Swayra Jewellery, and Trifoglio are some of the local brands on display.

A highlight of this year’s DJWE will be Noor Ali Hussain Alfardan’s Noudar (gold in Arabic), a collection featuring exquisite pieces inspired by the history and legacy of natural pearls in Qatar. Some of her earlier pieces have been worn by celebrities like Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, and Kendall Jenner.

Collections by Rose, among India’s leading jewellery houses, Piranesi, renowned for its rare and exotic stones, and Robert Wan, a market leader in Tahitian pearls, are also expected to create waves at the Alfardan Pavilion.

Chopard, Tiffany, Vacheron Constatin, Marli, Sartoro, Girard-Perregaux, Franck Muller, Chaumet, Persee Paris, Yeprem and Corum will all occupy pride of place.

DJWE 2023 will also see the return of Turkish and Indian pavilions, with vibrant stalls featuring bespoke designs that celebrate the two countries’ unique heritage and culture.

Louis Vuitton’s ‘Fantasy necklace,’ a 2.56 carat Monogram flower-cut diamond representing a bold design, will also be unveiled for the first time.

Phillips, a leading global platform for buying and selling 20th and 21st-century art and design, will participate this year.

Those who wish to attend the exhibition can register their interest here.

Located in the heart of West Bay, DECC can be easily accessed by Doha Metro, with a direct route from Terminal 1 to the DECC Metro Station (Red Line), which has direct access to the exhibition halls.
