Over seven million players engage with ‘Qatar Adventure’ on Roblox

Qatar Adventure — a virtual world in the metaverse featuring Qatari cultural activities and some of the country’s most iconic landmarks on Roblox — garnered visits from over seven million players during the game’s seven-week period.

The numbers made it one of the most successful virtual experiences featuring a national trademark on Roblox.

Qatar’s new and innovative metaverse experience — an educational and recreational virtual world — was tested in more than 32 countries across four continents from December 15, 2023, until February 8.

The initiative came as a collaboration between ‘Q Life platform’ of Qatar’s International Media Office and Century Games.

Players were able to don local traditional clothing in the virtual clothing store, which witnessed more than 720,000 visits and 1.29 million experiences. 

There were more than 441,000 clicks to discover more about Qatar in the virtual museum that showcased rich Qatari culture.

While the iconic Lusail Stadium drew 3.7 million visits, 5.6 million participants virtually tried out pearl diving and swimming with whale sharks. There were also over 10 million visits to the Katara Towers hotels.

A survey conducted on players showed 82.5% of participants enjoyed being a part of Qatar Adventure. Around 78.5% said they had learned something new about Qatar, while 86.8% stated they would like to visit Qatar and see the distinctive tourist areas in reality.
