Passage to India 2024 off to a vibrant start at MIA Park
he Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), in collaboration with the Embassy of India, Qatar Museum, and Museum of Islamic Park, kicked off their much-anticipated cultural festival, "Passage to India 2024," yesterday, March 7. The grand inauguration witnessed a dazzling array of cultural performances, highlighted by a captivating live sketch by renowned Indian speed painter Vilas Nayak.
This three-day extravaganza aims to showcase the richness of Indian culture, traditions, and the spirit of unity in diversity, coinciding with the celebration of 50 years of diplomatic relations between Qatar and India. Dr. Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari, the State Minister and President of Qatar National Library, graced the event as the Chief Guest, joined by esteemed dignitaries including H.E. Mr. Vipul, the Ambassador of India to Qatar.
Addressing the enthusiastic audience, ICC President Mr. A.P. Manikantan extended a warm welcome, inviting attendees to immerse themselves in the cultural performances, savor Indian cuisine, and explore the vibrant handicrafts and artifacts on display. The event witnessed a significant turnout of Indian community members, Qatari nationals, and expatriates from diverse backgrounds.
Scheduled from March 7 to 9 at MIA Park, the event promises evenings filled with cultural delights from 4 pm to 11 pm. ICC encourages people of all nationalities residing in Qatar to join in and experience the richness of Indian heritage firsthand.
