Police bust online gambling ring, arrest 50 Asians from private residence
The Ministry of Interior’s (MoI) Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested a number of people from a private residence for engaging in online gambling activities.
After receiving permission from the Public Prosecution, CID officials raided the house, leading to the arrest of 50 Asian nationals, said MoI in a statement.

The search found the accused betting on fowl fights, which were being beamed on television.
Vast sums of money from gambling as well as alcoholic beverages were recovered from the house.
The accused and the seized items were then referred to competent authorities and will be presented to the Public Prosecution for legal action.
