Banks in Qatar to be closed for Eid Al Fitr holidays from June 17 to 19
If you have some urgent financial work to be completed, you better do it soon.
This is because banks, insurance companies and financial institutions in the country, which falls under the purview of the Qatar Central Bank, will have their Eid Al Fitr holidays on June 17, 18 and 19 (Sunday, Monday and Tuesday), according to Gulf Times.
These institutions will resume their normal operations on Wednesday, June 20, according to sources.
Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) also will remain closed for three days from Sunday, June 17, in view of Eid Al Fitr holidays.
The market will resume trading on Wednesday, June 20, an official spokesman of the bourse said.
The Emiri Diwan had earlier officially declared that Eid holidays for ministries, other government institutions and public entities will run from June 13 to June 23, with everyone resuming normal duties on June 24.
