The event will also confirm Qatar’s keenness to benefit from investment opportunities that comply with its economic strategies.
It is also noteworthy that the forum is happening at a time when Qatar’s investments in Germany has exceed €25bn in vital projects such as cars, information technology and banks sectors.
Qatar has also become one of Germany’s most preferred partners in the Middle East and North Africa region. The two countries have been engaged in trade relations for more than 60 years and diplomatic relations have been going strong since the late 1980s.
The forum is also being considered by many as a cornerstone of Germany’s co-operation with the Arab world, reported Qatar Tribune.
More than 300 German companies currently operate out of Doha.
This year’s forum will organise a number of seminars, which will help present businessmen with a clear picture of the investment climate in the two countries.
Some of the talks will focus on the legal aspect, and the investment incentives offered in the two countries as well.
The forum will also see Qatar’s Free Zones Authority offer its strategy for the first time ever. It will discuss the perks and benefits it will offer investors, as well as the opportunities the zone offers to reach the region’s markets.
The forum will also see the setting up of a Qatari-German business council, which will include Germany’s trade chamber, Qatar Chamber and Qatar Business Association.
