MoPH explains procedure for COVID-19 vaccination at QNCC

By QLNews

On February 18, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) had announced the opening of the COVID-19 vaccination center at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) for targeted groups.

The QNCC vaccination center is run by the Primary Health Care Corporation under the supervision of the MoPH.

The MoPH has explained that the first phase would prioritize teachers, school administrators, and other community members who meet the eligibility criteria.

According to MoPH, invitations will be sent in a gradual and phased manner to ensure the safety of society and a smooth and effective vaccination process.

It had been confirmed via MoPH’s social media post that invitations will be sent to targeted individuals via SMS to receive their vaccinations on the mentioned dates.

Moreover, only those who have received an invitation will be given the COVID-19 vaccine while all others will have to wait until an SMS invitation has been received.

Please note that you will be required to carry a valid health card when arriving at QNCC for your scheduled vaccination appointment.

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani had visited the QNCC vaccination center and inspected the facility last Thursday.

HE the Minister of Public Health Dr. Hanan Mohamed al-Kuwari had pointed out that “the addition of this new vaccination center will enable us to increase our capacity to vaccinate even more essential workers and open more opportunities for the general public to be vaccinated".
