As Qatar continues to amplify its National COVID-19 Vaccination Program, the country has been taking several steps to make sure eligible people can take the COVID-19 vaccine safely and efficiently.

In recent weeks, the country has introduced a temporary vaccination center at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC), a drive-through vaccination facility in Lusail, as well as a second drive-through vaccination center in Al Wakra.

With the availability of these venues in addition to the PHCC health centers, more and more eligible citizens and residents are able to get vaccinated against the virus.

In a weekly update, issued yesterday, MoPH highlighted that 25.4 percent of Qatar's total population (16 years and above) has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

In the last seven days, as many as 170,542 doses of the vaccine were administered to citizens and residents of Qatar eligible to receive the vaccine.

A total of 910,851 vaccine doses have been given until now under the country’s National COVID-19 Vaccination Program.

The infographic further mentions that one in four adults in the country has received at least one dose of the vaccine.

As the country had been urging the elderly to get vaccinated against the virus since the start of the vaccination campaign, 74.2 percent of people above 80 years, 74.6 percent of people over 70 years and 76 percent of people above 60 have received at least one shot of the vaccine until now.

The Ministry is also collecting feedback regarding side effects, if any, faced by individuals who have taken the COVID-19 vaccine.

Individuals wishing to share feedback can do so by clicking on the ‘COVID-19 Vaccination Feedback’ section on the Ministry's website.

The Ministry stressed the importance of feedback as it will allow health authorities to record and monitor any symptoms people have.
