Qatar Airways resumes flights to Cairo in Egypt
Qatar Airways resumed flights to Cairo in Egypt on January 18, 2021, with a daily service.
QR1301 departed Hamad International Airport (HIA) to Cairo International Airport at 15:15 local time and landed at its destination at 17:40 local time. The flight was operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
Qatar Airways will be resuming flights to Alexandria on Monday, January 25, QR1317 will depart from DOH at 15:15 and will land at HBE at 17:50.
Passengers traveling from Egypt with Qatar Airways can now enjoy seamless connectivity to over 110 global destinations via its state-of-the-art hub, HIA.
This move comes shortly after the historic GCC Summit that took place in Saudi Arabia earlier this month.
Last week, leaders of the Gulf States came together at the 41st session of the Supreme Council of the Co-operation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), held in Al-Ula Governorate in Saudi Arabia.
The agreement between the leaders signals a new phase of unity, brotherhood, and solidarity in the GCC.

The achievement of the Skytrax 5-Star COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating is in addition to Qatar Airways’ home and hub, Hamad International Airport (HIA), recently being named as the first airport in the Middle East and Asia to be awarded a Skytrax 5-Star COVID-19 Airport Safety Rating in December 2020.
