Qatar to give Moroccan nationals visa-free entry into the country, says reports

Qatar has decided to grant Moroccan nationals visa-free entry into the country, according to multiple reports in Arabic and French media.
Le Matin, a French daily, first reported that Qatari Prime Minister and Interior Minister HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani made the announcement during a meeting with Moroccan officials on Tuesday.
The decision was conveyed to House of Representatives Speaker Habib El Malki, who heads a Moroccan delegation, representing King Mohammed VI at the inauguration ceremony of Qatar’s new Hamad Port, according to Xinhua.
However, Abdessamad Nacir, Principal News and programmes anchor at Al Jazeera Network, tweeted that it was not completely official yet.
“The news was published by the Moroccan news agency. But a source in the interior ministry in Qatar said that the decision has not been implemented so far. It is under study and will be announced soon,” he tweeted.

In August, Qatar had announced it was exempting the nationals of eighty countries from entry visas, and Morocco was not included.
