The Polish authorities at Warsaw Chopin Airport confiscated the smuggled drug, which was hidden inside a bag, and arrested the accused.
This was made possible due to the co-operation between the General Directorate of Drug Enforcement and the relevant bodies in Poland, the MOI said in a tweet.
The directorate took all measures in line with international conventions and laws, and successfully thwarted the smuggling attempt through coordination with the relevant bodies in Poland.
The Polish authorities thanked Qatar “for this outstanding co-operation,” MOI added.
Director of the Department of Studies and International Affairs at the directorate, Maj Mohamed Abdullah Al Khater stressed that Qatar is “exerting every effort to support the international community in addressing this serious scourge”.
