The Fund helped in the treatment of patients suffering from diseases of the digestive system and heart, as well as of patients with autoimmune disorders, dialysis, and rheumatism. This was in addition to providing audio aids and conducting five operations for organ and cochlear transplantation.

Syrian and Yemeni expatriates who arrived in the country on a visit visa were among the beneficiaries of these services and medical assistance, the report highlighted.

With regards to community health support, the report mentioned that the activities of the fund saw medical assistance being offered to 13 orphans of deceased workers, donation of an electronic library comprising seven computers to the Communicable Disease Center, donation of sports equipment to three sections of HMC and provision of a rehabilitation device for Rumailah Hospital.

According to the report, the fund has able to achieve great success ever since it was established in 2010.

In the past year, particularly the last three years, QRCS has observed a remarkable expansion that has reflected in a surge in the number of beneficiaries, the quality of services provided and the total value of these services.

The number of direct and indirect beneficiaries has doubled from 170 in 2010 to 12,000 last year.

Moreover, the annual program budget increased from QR1.5 million in 2010 to more than QR8.5 million in the current year.
