Paris Saint-Germain Chief Brand Officer Fabien Allegre said: “We’re delighted to announce an exciting new Esports adventure for Paris Saint-Germain. It gives us great pride today to be unveiling our Dota 2 team PSG Quest, which will wear the club’s colours with distinction in the biggest gaming competitions. In the process, the club is continuing to pursue its ambition of breaking into the global Esports elite and to continue entertaining and enthralling non-traditional football audiences.”
For the first time since it became the first European club to set up an Esports division in 2016, Paris Saint-Germain is teaming up with an outfit from the Middle East.
In Qatar’s Quest Esports, it now has a partner brand that possesses a significant amount of expertise and reflects the interests of its fans.
Followed by nearly 1.3 million fans on social media, Quest is much more than an Esports team — it is a symbol of Qatar’s entrance into the international competitive gaming arena.
Their connection to local initiatives, such as the Qatar Esports Federation Partnership and collaboration with the Qatar Football Association, emphasizes their commitment to integrating esports with broader sporting sectors in Qatar.
Like Paris Saint-Germain, Quest Esports is aiming to inspire and guide a new generation of players and fans through outstanding experiences and achievements.
Elie Gemayel, CEO of Quest Esports, commented, “This partnership is a significant milestone for Quest Esports. Our journey, from our inception in 2022 to partnering with a global brand like Paris Saint-Germain, reflects our dedication and Qatar’s vision for esports. Together, as PSG Quest, we are not only competing at the highest levels but also fostering a new era of esports, bridging cultures, and inspiring millions globally.”
PSG Quest’s gaming house is based in Istanbul. Apart from competing in the Western Europe region of Dota 2, the newly formed PSG Quest will also leverage PSG Studio, based in Paris Saint-Germain’s head offices in Boulogne-Billancourt, marking a unique synergy between the two teams.
